Mifuneyama Rakuen is a large garden created on an area of 500,000 square meters, surrounded by nature that has existed for 3 million years.
This expansive exhibition, which can only be viewed from summer to autumn every year, is where nature in its natural state is transformed into art.
Mifuneyama is said to have been formed by uplift from the Ariake Sea 3 million years ago.
Later, 1,300 years ago, the famous monk Gyoki entered the mountain and enshrined 500 arhat statues, and in the late Edo period, Nabeshima Shigeyoshi, the 28th lord of Takeo, created Mifuneyama Rakuen at the foot of the mountain, covering an area of 500,000 square meters.
The park is home to huge rocks, caves, and forests that have been slowly shaped over a long period of time to form into their present-day forms.
TeamLab believes that the shapes and textures of these objects represent the passage of time, and are a trace of the long-term interaction between nature and humans.
In this exhibition, we seek to express the continuity of time by transforming the natural forms of nature into art using digital technology.
" EN TEA HOUSE - Genkatei ," which can only be experienced within the garden for this limited time, is a tea house where flowers continue to bloom endlessly in EN TEA tea, allowing you to drink this infinitely expanding world as it is.
